    Be like star

     Be like Star 14 Lines


    I seem to admire something so far away and so great,
    Mighty in many ways with all its weight,
    It has what i seem to cannot,
    Gain and so will not,
    Be like Star, whose life span at is worse is 10,000 times mine,
    And itself can shine,

    I shine too but not like the star,
    Gases burning from afar,
    I want to measure up to it, live long like it does,
    What say i in 1 trillion years just because,
    Is gods spirit with the stars as he is with man?
    Trillions of years of life versus at best 120 are hard to understand,
    Ho hum i say it doesnt matter in the end,
    Both man and star return to dust, the begin.

    An amazing analogy written as a sonnet. Very creative imagery and poetic quality. It probably is one of the best in this week's contest.
