    beast of burden

    it's raining hard outside,
pouring like tears from my eyes.
a piece of me is tearing inside,
drench to a wild fire like melting ice.
    imminent storm is coming,
dark cloud feelings paying the prize,
    no utter words, no consoling,
    staring mend things in disguise.
    shrapnels of winter and cold,
by far, we continue to walk.
    stowaways we sometimes called,
pray! no one gossips and talk.
    walking on a tight rope,
    trying to get some relief.
hanging on a thread of hope,
    just stay in your belief.
    felt betrayed when someone's achieved,
    to blame someone's mistake.
    handle it gracefully to keep,
don't be a folly, guilt trip is a waste.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
