    Every poet''s common ground

    Beautiful Blank Paper

    　

    Beautiful paper blank or lined

    Have a few things on my mind

    Tonight will need every sheet of you

    Helping with what I'm inspired to do

    poetic expression could take all night long

    One reason, there's a coffee pot on.

    You know how a poet gets when in the mood

    Won’t stop till the poem's been grooved.

    Bring lots of your friends with you

    In all likelihood will need them too

    Will have clear idea after the first line

    Whether free verse or using rhyme

    First draft won’t worry about style

    something like that could take a while

    Now it’s all about getting it on paper

    Will take care of the details later.

    Great inspirations often come and go

    Like ocean tides that ebb and flow

    Quick as they flow they’ll ebb again

    Seize the moment when they come in

    Beautiful blank paper nice and clean

    no interruptions, every poet's dream
    Tonight we'll be the best of friends
    Now if I could only find a damn pen

    I really like how you concluded the poem. I had fun reading it from the first line to the last one.
