Beautiful Lie

Beautiful Lie

life is a lie
but what's a lie?

something people would rather believe
a way to escape the problems
paths out of the dead end
to lead the way out of tangled forest

tie the knot tighter
cut the rope already fraying
no one needs it
let's end it all
and be done with it

but then life goes on
this beautiful lie
so cleverly crafted
a tear in the eye

everything so real
can i touch it?
will it break?

we are all so fragile
the mountain balancing on it's tip
precariously
one sudden blow
and it falls to pieces

a crack in the lie
a masterpiece no more

what is life?
what's in a lie?
