    Beauty

    I have Beauty?
    No.

    Beauty has me.

    Skin glistening from the sun...

    Sun spots on shoulder and chest.

    So hungry but there's no appetite.

    I do not purge to stay fit.

    Retorical sense anyways.

    Insults seem to cut and scar.

    Compliments like lotion.

    Sit on the surface, and sweat away in this heat.

    [I have Beauty? No. Beauty has me.] - You are on point with your perspective. Pride must truly dull beauty. To boast it means to lose it. To let it speak for itself means to keep it forever. A poem with a meaning longer than its simple lines seem to show. Creative.

    Thank you. I never seem to be able to accept compliments because I see most girls who know they're beautiful are stuck-up and rude to those who don't know they're beautiful. I'd rather be a complimented 'ugly' girl that a 'egoist.' ^_^

    You do have beauty, Alyson. Inside and out. But one can tell your an amazing young lady by the poetry that you write. Even in shorter poems, you put a lot of passion into them. :)
