    Begin To Understand
    Thoughts of you run through my mind
    More and more each day
    When we are alone together
    I don’t tell you what I want to say
    You have captured me so completely
    Mind, body and soul
    I feel like I am a puppet
    Of which you have control
    Now I dangle lifelessly
    On the ends of knotted strings
    Waiting for you patiently
    While you do other things
    Thoughts of you run through my mind
    While it’s so easy to ignore
    Someone that truly loves you
    Like you have never felt before
    I was so afraid of being hurt
    My true feelings were not shown
    Why did I expect anything else
    When my feelings were not known
    So now, I feel my heartbreak grow
    Yet again by my own hand
    When will I ever learn
    Or begin to understand
