    Beginnings

    A door closes,
    gently, almost silently
    Footsteps echo
    going away

    An unshed tear lingers,
but is gently nudged aside by a smile
    Somewhere a door opens
revealing still more corridors to tomorrow

short, simple and full of lived. This is a poem that gently guided a hopeless person back to reality.

I enjoyed this. It was quite refreshing; like drinking warm chamomile tea while sitting in the Bay Window watching as rain streak down its panes.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
