    Poem Commentary

What I think the end of the world would be like.

    Behold The Rapture

Forsakenly barren, the world burns around me,
pyretic tears freefall from sore eyes,
turning to dust on cold shoulders,
hysterical lament in screams, I can't bear...
    Perpetual darkness bears cruel devastation,
grey skies cover the earth in ash,
    forever consuming, it never sleeps,
    time abandons the traditional hourglass.
In resonance, the rocks call out their creator,
mountains crumble as if made of sand,
heaven has fallen and with it came light,
    and, behold.... the promise land.

This reminds me of the last days when the earth shall be lay wasted at the Savior's coming. You have written a beautiful description of this. It is so provocative in the images that it creates. I love the way you can say so much in so few words. It must be your Cancer sun sign that brings it out. My moon is in Cancer so I can relate. I'm sending a friend request, so I hope you will respond positively. I look forward to reading more of your poetry in the future.

    Thank you. :)

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
