In the middle of the sea,

Surrounded by peaceful winds, crashing waves,

ocean spray and Seagull screams.



But there screams have all new meanings to me,

They scream for my rescue, to gain attention,

No one listens, no one notices, no one cares.



The intake off salt, the pounding of waves,

The loss of sun, the deeper in I cave,

slowly, drowning... drowning.. drowning.



Yet all I can hear is the Seagulls screams,

They make panic takes over my body,

As I pull, twist and contort to surface myself.



So tired, out of air, frightened,

My breaths getting slower,

The Seagulls go silent.



The bottom is closer,

My eyes wide open devoured by the sea,

The panic leave me for peace.



My hands touch the sand,

I am at the bottom,

I am unable to move,

not sure if I want to.



I make a smile.

I do not remember why.

Happiness I guess?

The only peace I will ever get.



At that moment I was pulled to the surface,

Were the Seagulls screamed,

Were panic sets in.



My life was a flash,

You waited to long to pull me up...

Now I want to go back,

To darker depths.



Now, the stinging of sun that evaporates,

The shiny water off my over submerged skin,

You carry me to shore.



This is the only memory,

I could of ever wanted from you

You saved my life... but your still to late.
