    • I should be publishing a book of poetry soon.

    Betrayal

Before it was said my smile reached my eyes.
Before it was said they were filled with light.
Now it is asked, what is wrong?
Because the light has faded and the smile is gone.

I have been betrayed and my heart been torn.
My soul has been tortured and i can feel no more.
Those that love us are suppose to care.
Suppose to nurture, help, and be there.

But the truth is they don't and they never will.
They will turn their backs or laugh as you fall.
They will mock you, hurt you, watch you bleed.
They care not for you in your dearest time of need.

So trust not in those that you love.
Crawl in a hole and never return above.
This is the way you will never be hurt.
Never be ridiculed, condemned, or burnt.

Oh but the pain has just begun..You will try to hide..You will try to run..But you cant get away..You cannot escape..Why..Because it is your fate...

I like this one, rings so true, it reminds me of some of my thoughts about people that I have known...

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
