    Between dreams and desires 7-17-06

     We lie suspended above the earth
    wrapped in each others embrace
    our bodies caressed by a gentle rain
    safe in the anonymity of darkness

    The stars wink at us as passion smiles a contented grin
    love alone exists as we disappear into each other
    you steal my breath
    and I share my soul

    I fall as the sun reclaims it's rightful place in the heavens
    gazing at ripples in the sky as I join with it
    where it has been cast upon the ground 
    like so many shed tears

    As I turn and once again approach reality
    a part of me misses itself
    that which I gave unto you
    within the velvet folds of the night

    Between dreams and desires
    the place where you reside 
    and I am but a visitor.

    Something about this commentary is a precautionary tale about investing too much in the imaginary. And yet, it also has its obvoius rewards. Wonderful cosmic distractions along the way.

    i actually wrote it about a night of sex on a trampoline but i enjoy your view as well

    If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
