    Black Dante’

Upon a rooftop, your star shining above our amorous heads
Like honey your voice drips gracefully down my neck
Sparking intellect, flying free, sharing stories of heartache and triumph
Beside the shivers up my spine, stood my fear of leaping
Into something new, into you, into this glistening pond of chocolate bliss, just for one kiss
So the words flowed out like real talk, then hands wrapped around my body
    A steady rock
In the back of mind whispering “no”, in the forefront screaming, “Yes, yes”
Black Dante swept me up in his glimmering light
The truth is, the light, the vibe, the caress was ever so present
So I leaped, head first and the outcome was pleasant

Here I lay, reminiscing and trying to imagine a young colored boy,
The glow of church windows, the essence of kin around him
Holding a mic for the approval of his father, smiling bright for the love of his mother
    All grown up now
An evolving artist, aspiring mogul, easy and soulful my feelings are hopeful
If all else fails, I encountered a beauty in all his radiance
    Brotha, you move me

Excellent! If you want an experience with your writing unmatched and exciting? Explore to be more than what you have become to date. Look deeper into unresolved desires, expectations, goals, wants and pretended needs. Don't stop writing, you're on to someone new, you!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
