BLACK ROSES (Part 4) SERAPHINE,QUEEN

I've been lost in this haze too long;

Forgive me for manners slack.

The thirst for blood is just so strong;

My life's now lived in white and black.

Please let me introduce myself,

My senses lately, none too keen.

In undead state, to find oneself

Is nothing short of cruel and mean!

I once had siblings, Mom and Dad

The world was mine at sweet sixteen!

Long gone are all I ever had,

Except my name; `tis Seraphine.

I played and laughed the same as you,

Had friends and enemies, dreams.

`Till fateful night `neath palest moon,

His shadow pulled with wicked gleam.

Darkly handsome, debonair;

He called me with hypnotic glance.

His skin so pale,with raven hair,

Senses lost in cobalt trance.

My friends admonished not to go,

But I dared chance, choice was mine

Now, nevermore (how could I know?)

Would I see new day's sweet sunrise!

From that night to this, dear friend,

I pass the days in sweet repose.

Weep not for me, it serves no end,

Just watch for night... and one black rose.

This one is the most visual of the 1st four, in my opinion.. I love that you've given her a name now, also.

Thanks again Mind...yes, part of the "art" of storytelling, is to build and allow for some suspense and some surprises, which I promise, you will read more of as you followthis series to the end! Thanks again Mind! Rose XD

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
