    Black Velvet Woes

     Black Velvet Woes

    Black velvet robes of death sweep the night's final breath
    Tombs awaits its fill, the lifeless body listless chill
    A succession with the rolling drum, the final march succumbs

    The ending chapter closes, and death adorns with roses
    The reapers cycle swiftly poses
    Weep now and let those tears stream
    The stillness of the heart secludes in silenced screams

    A lifetime summed in a few words the sobbing fills Cathedrals walls
    Candle flames cast silhouettes that rise and fall
    A grieving widow calls out her true loves name
    Life for her will never be the same
    Black Velvet woe has brought her pain, the reaper has made his claim
