Blackberry Fingers

Her tragic smile,
makes way for luminous eyes.
Eyes with a story to tell,
eyes that hold a whole novel,
a whole series
of words.
The feeling of her presence
resembles the knot in my throat,
the ball of worry in my stomach,
and blackberry stained fingerprints on white tablecloth

This takes me back to my younger day's where my heart was good and my mind was a blaze with things to do that day, Blackberries were my fav. as a kid and to this day ill stop to pick em, now the other part's of the poem tell a sadness that has dawned on me many of time's it strike's me with a powerful blow to see you right such things that can bring back once buried thoughts and lost memories, its very...enticing to say the least its a wonderful write, its a powerful one too, say's alot to me with such few word's. --------sorry for how long it took me to comment, but i couldnt find the word's too say. Kudo's girl kudos, i also agree with angel's comment----Sincerely Daniel

I do like the metaphors and imagery in this poem very much. It carries a sweetness in it's sadness. It reminds me of childhood things. Very Nicely done!

thanks! i appreciate it(:

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
