Blank

Grew Up knowing everything would be okay,
Lies stood in me.

You said you'd stop, but you kept it away from me.

I asked you over and over if you were lying to me,
you said "No".
But the blankness stood in your eyes.

I wandered around and i cried myself to sleep wondering if its possible for me to die in my dreams.

I scooched closer to the side of the bed that leans against the wall.
The wall was so cold...but I couldn't feel it; numb.

As you walked in and looked at me,
you spoke so softly saying "Hello."
I asked "Do you love me?"
And usually when you look into someones eyes, it feels so stong.

But when I looked into yours while you lied to me,
with each word I couldn't see anything inside you; blankness.

I didn't see a story.
I didn't see a feeling; just blank and nothing more.

Lies stood before me.

The eye's always tell the tell windows to the soul I have been told. 10 from me.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
