    SHORT, SWEET AND TO THE POINT, BUT TO WHAT POINT? THE POEM ITSELF IS A METAPHOR TO SOMETHING MORE, HIDDEN MEANING WITHIN EVERY CAREFULLY CRAFTED WORD, EVEN IN THE TITLE ITSELF IT REVEALS THE TRUTH WITHIN, HIDDEN BY THE NAKED EYE. I DO NOT SEE FOR I AM BLIND, THEREFORE I SEE BETTER THAN MOST, LOL. THE BLACK WIDOW, REPRESENTS ONE OF NATURE'S MOST DEADLY CREATURES, BEAUTIFUL, GRACEFUL, YET DEADLY TO ITS PREY. A WOMAN WHO ON THE OUTSIDE IS AS CUTE AS CAN BE AS YOU PUT IT, BEAUTY TO NO AVAIL, BUT WHAT LIES DEEPER WITHIN, HIDDEN BY THE FLESH OF THE SKIN? BLACK DEATH, A PRETATOR OF SOULS, A DEVOURER OF MEN... THE WORD THAT SENDS THE TRUTH OF THE MESSAGE IS THE TITLE, BLIND... A REFREENCE PERHAPS THAT LOVE IS BLIND IN THE BEGINING, THAT WE OFTEN SEE WHAT WE CREATE, A FALSE SENSE OF REALITY, A VISION OF BEAUTY, BUT IN TRUTH ONLY BEAUTY OF THE FLESH. AS THE ROSE COLORED GLASSES TURN TO CLEAR AND THE TRUTH IS TO BE KNOWN, WITHIN YOU ONLY FOUND THE BLACKNESS OF HER SOUL. I COULD BE WAY OFF BASE, PERHAPS I AM BLIND, PERHAPS I SEE. ONLY YOU KNOW FOR SURE, EITHER WAY SUPERB WRITE! THERE IS MUCH TO BE SAID ABOUT SIMPLICITY, IT IS SO COMPLICATED, LOL. PURITY OF THE SOUL, JOURNEY WELL!!! ANGEL

    Your guess is as good as mine, or anyone else's. Have you ever wrote a poem and then said, "Where did that come from?" Thanks for the review!

    lol... Yeah, Thank You for this comment. I laugh because I am trying to improve on keeping things short. If I wrote poetry as long as I make comments, then there would never be a need for anyone to read my poetry. Why? Because a good poem should make the reader "wonder", and I just usually have this urge to tell everything! Thanks again, Betty.

    Nice l'il ditty! Thanks ES for your vote per my poem : The Final Decisions per week 4 per the survivor contest. This poem is the actual January Poet Of The Month winner though not recognized. Your take on my poem was way off but i gotta give your due, it's a great comment you made. This is an old poem i wrote "long ago and far away". Thanks for all brother!     Regarding "way off", I was just demonstrating how a poem, one poem, can mean different things to different people. You are brilliant to catch this. There is never a right way or wrong way to interpret a poem. The individual always retains that right. Some scholars would like to differ. I thought my claims would be so outlandish, they would spark some positive interest in your poem. And by the way. Many people tell me privately, that you are loved. Are you paying them? lol! (I guess they feel the need to tell me how much they love you, after reading my Standing Bear Poem).

    To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
