Poem Commentary

romance, love, fun, sex

Blistering Lips

Blistering lips
Long for your kiss
Each day, my love,
You come, you come

Clowns parade to me
every day
Proclaiming crap,
I'm worthy of more

Each day you come,
you come.
They see me fully not,
inside and out

Perfect it will be,
our love you'll see
Worth the wait
Set my heart straight

Around around I go,
with moments of calm,
Feeling you, the nearer you are

Encompass me,
You are my anchor,
allowing my emotions to flow

Together we dance
A Heavenly romance
Yet burning bright on Earch
Forever

Each day you come,
more near, more near

Hold me close
Whisper in my ear

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
