    Break You

All in one go, or slowly bit by bit
There's only so long you can shoulder the hits
The highs and the lows, the why's and because,
To realising it can't be perfect but wishing it was,
To the thoughts late at night that play through your mind,
To believing you belong with your sort and your kind
The sobering truth that the fault lies in you,
You will never be pure and you'll never be true...
These are the kind of things that break you.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
