Bring Me Back

Bring Me Back

Come wake me before I
drift any further.
For if I do, I
will be no more.
Sing a song made just for me.
Maybe I'll be revived
from this deep,
terrifying illusion.
I call out your name
asking for help.
Oh, but to my horror,
no sound comes out.
You carry my unconscious body
to your sacred place.
Whispering sweet
nothings into my ear.
You try bringing my spirit back,
but nothing works.
Then you turn to the last resort
as if you read my mind.
I hunger for your taste;
for your lips.
I desire you over-whelming
me with your hypnotic scent.
At that moment, your lips
crashed onto mine.
In that instant, you
brought me back to life.

I hear that, mystical and magical, I like this part, You carry my unconscious body to your sacred place,, nice, ty WS

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
