Poem Commentary

How do we fix what is broken when pieces are scattered to the winds......

BROKEN by Christina Doelitzsch...copyright 2008

How do you take water from a fountain,

and turn it into a brook.

How do you take words written on paper, and turn it into a book......

How do you catch a falling star, when it burns you to the touch,

And how do you love something you've never had, yet still it hurts so much.

How do you tame a wild stallion,

when all it wants is to be free

How do you take nectar from a flower, When it is still just only a seed,

How do you scatter earthen memories,

like ashes out upon the sea,

and how do you follow your heart, when your soul chooses it not to be.

How do you wash away your pain, when it covers you in tears,

and how do you relive all those lost and youthful years.

How do you take a dream and freeze it in a bubble of time,

How do you go on, when your just so broken inside.

A smooth piece, an easy read that brought a smile. Your talent will win out for you know where writing comes from. The blessing is not always knowing where it goes and the good it does. Be well, stop by and look my offerings over if you find a moment, thanks, k

Thank you, yes I do know where it comes from no matter what it is. Whether it brings joy, a tear, laughter, sadness or something to think about I have the pride in knowing it comes from me. :)

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
