Burning

To rather than Burn
My only fate
Poetry is
My only escape

Burning Flesh
No longer lingers
And no match burns
Guilty fingers

Pain inflicted
Is now forgot
But scars remind
Of life’s rough spot

Poetry knows not
What or who
It only knows
The writing we do

Take me away
From deaths cold grip
And let my rhymes
Take that trip…

Damn good poem. If it's what I think it is talking about. My girlfriend does the same thing. I told her what I do and that is the same as you. It's better to write it on paper than doing something to yourself you might regret. First poem I ever wrote was my suicide poem. Memorries of a desperate soul. If you r ead it tell me what you think. Once again damn good poem.. I'm going to make sure my girlfriend reads it.

Thank you very much, i really appriciate that, and i am glad that i can help in some way, and yes it is about what you think, and it does help to write..

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
