caged

There is no skin, thick or thin

Sufficient to contain

This bitter shame

consuming rage

and lonliness within

some people walk in happiness

untouched by pain and doubt

beloved by all

they never fall

victim to themselves

I am made of my mistakes

They haunt my angry days

Trapped with rage

In my cage

Ever will I stay

A perfect first poem you've posted. We're all born with a given cage, your great write clearly relates many of the ramifications.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
