Candles And Ouija Boards

Poem Commentary

I bathe not in dirty waters I do not befriend the fallen ones. I wish not to grant them power, over you or anyone.

Candles And Ouija Boards

Hello and welcome to my attention - I been searching for someone new
Though you're sure we've never met - Without a doubt I know you
You're just like the last one that I saw - In the light you feel misplaced
You sit in darkness like a shaddow - With your hair hiding your face

We're not strangers - You should know me by now
What you didn't know - Is I've always been around

The last ones called to me - With a board that few believe
I started having so much fun - Then they tried to make me leave
I gave them fear they never knew - So much they couldn't breathe
I gathered energy from in the room - And screamed, 'you belong to me!'

We're not strangers - You should know me by now
You sang my song - And so I came around

You lit candles and scratched my mark - To me you even prayed
So I gave you what you asked - And now I won't go away
While you're crouched in the corner - Paralized by your fear
I enjoy every little moment - That I bring you to tears

We're not strangers - You called my name
You prayed to me - And so I came

I took your coil and wrapped around - Now I dwell and work in you
As you scream no one can hear - There's nothing you can do
I use your voice to speak my words - And your flesh to cause some pain
I want to destroy everything - All creation of God's name

But we're not strangers - You know me by now
Though you wish - You never called me around

Your parents called a holy place - And spoke to a priest
He brought the book and a crucifix - So I would release
But that alone couldn't drive me out - It was too much fun
And I threatened to massacre - Each and everyone

We're not strangers - As you heard me howl
You wish that you did not - But you know me by now

They tied me up so I moved some things - But they held their ground
They bowed their heads and started to pray - Then angels gathered around
A bright light shined down on me - And I was forced away
I left that flesh and that house - But looked to Heaven to say

We're not strangers - They called my name
And even prayed to me - And so I came

I think this poem is also a contender. It's very original and creative and well written.

My guess is this person you are speaking of is Satan. Cuz he overruns our lives no matter how hard we try to hide.. I like how you wrote this one.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
