    Caught

     I wish there was more to see,
    I wish i was free.
    I'm a prisoner of war,
    and i don't know what my life has in store.
    I live in a rotten cell,
    I think I'd rather be in hell.
    With my eyes i see the sky,
    and everyday is seeking by.
    Am i gonna die or am i gonna live,
    I have nothing else to give.
    Open up the metal door,
    I'm sick of sleeping on the concrete floor.
    My life is dragging on too slow,
    I live where weeds don't even want to grow.
    I'm not gonna cry and im not gonna whine,
    Let me go and give me whats mine.
    I'm here lying on the floor,
    for what I've got you've got no cure.
    I wish there was more to see,
    I wish i was free.
    Only if i could get away,
    and stop this sorrow and sadness i feel everyday.

    Not sure when you wrote this - but I love your expression through your poetry. My advice on that topic, is take a big trip to a foreign country and have some life changing experiences :) Thailand is a good option!

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
