    Child's Dream

Happiness sleeps within the dreams of children.
Belligerent thoughts of what life should be.
But life epitomizes itself as a child dreams.
As they turn the corner and start growing older,
a child sees his dreams dissipate into,
    the mere shadows of emptiness.
    Looking back upon those days,
he wants them to come back to play.
Stress builds and happiness becomes a stranger,
as his health is put in danger.
Running free can be no more,
for a grown ups life is a bore.
