Choices

Depart Phantom, thy work complete.
Fear! Thy will. Made for me.
Behold joy. Thy weakest link.
For me, a light to see.

Stretch forth thy hand, and find defeat.
Fear thou, my strength within.
For in the light, that joy I seek.
Not life in painful din.

The light prevails. Not darkness past.
The choice is mine.
Not forced of circumstance.
Not yours to undermine.

Depart now darkness. I have won.
Not past impaled.
But free to run.
Now light again has prevailed.

Watch out Shakespeare - Lady' is coming your way - this was beautiful - the choice of light over darkness - you should read my poem "The Jekyll and Hyde Inside Of Me" - I think you will like it as well....this is a very good poem Lady'... KD

In the cosmic journey of Soul, we're faced with darkness and demons or monsters. When we see it all as an illusion, we may pass. That is what your poem brought to my eye. Soul standing firm and steadfast against negative assaults and then passing through it all because It lives in the Light.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
