    Poem Commentary

    Just after I lost my dad. My family came back together when it had been fractured.

    Choices

    Seeing is feeling

    When he left I was torn but took up

    The reigns and the mountains of tears

    I survived and realized

    Pain brings gain even the emotional

    I am not healed but not alone

    Ten instead of three makes up this family

    Shattered, broken, shaken, and torn

    Hearts unfold and gather you in

    Traveling wrapped in faith and the warmth

    Of love and loss

    Down this path not of my choice

    Its dark and winding, there are many trails

    Leading away from the path

    But I believe I will just go straight ahead

    And live life to its fullest

    Death is at every turn, it just matters

    Whether or not you take that corner.

    Death is a part of life. It is good that your family came together to support each other. Your pain is obvious in this write. Do live to the fullest and tell loved ones everyday you love them.

    Be not taking that path of sorrow that lay up ahead...It must have been really hard on you when you lost your father...I feel the pain in this wonderful work.
