    Clear Light

    Clear Light

    A lifting smile.
    Just for a while.
We can talk about the past.
Slowing it down so it will last.
    Pulling something from my mind.
    Something hidden deep in time.
Under a rock on a rivers bed.
Something I had inside my head.
Fell right out on the page.
As I write I feel the rage.
It turns to love in a flash.
    Looking threw my broken glass.
As it cuts me to the bone.
I think of only being home.
Can you feel this cut so deep?
It hurts so bad it makes me weep.
I hear the sound of a train.
I turn around it starts to rain.
The sky is growing so dark.
    My poor Dragons heart.
    Awaits an Angels pretty smile.
I think about it for a while.
Will you stop to share your light?
Some might say it is to bright.
Not for a Dragon of this sort.
    Stronger than the strongest fort.
    Loving care from my hands.
As my toes sink in the sand.
Sound of thunder with a clash.
    As I release anouther smash.
My shadow follows as it should.
So many say my life is good.
    As the rain slowly falls.
I stand out boldly and I call.
To the creator of all things.
Please just let the Angels sing.
A song of life love and peace.
As the rain begeins to cease.
I look up high into the air.
I see a rainbow is always there.
The birds all sing the Dragons song.
The sky is clear the storm is gone.
this one place that I belong.
where clear light is shinning strong.

Umm, “something deep inside your head? “ I observes the world within and around you. But it is hidden deep, yet can causes rage as well as a place to belong? Why is it a great place to be? I had a hard time discovering just what it was that you sought in the elements of your poem? It makes me think Oh it’s just a reflective place to be? Am I wrong?

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
