Comin Of The Rain

Comin Of The Rain

I felt distant.
I felt angry.
I felt lonely,
But not alone.
I felt empty.
I felt restless.
I felt crazy,
Right to the bone.

There are times when I wake up
And it seems so still & cold.
The whole world is sleepin
And slowly growin old.
I feel like screamin
But I am not that bold.
I hear the comin of the rain.
I need some morphine for the pain.
I am just a no one who has simply gone insane
And I don't know why.
Pick up the gun it's time to die.

I'm a loser.
I'm a gambler.
I'm a loner,
Found in a crowd.
I'm a boozer.
I'm a rambler.
I'm the stoner
Up on my cloud.

There are times when I'm sleepin
And the sweat it soaks my bed.
The pain has me shakin
And the demons fill my head.
My pulse it is racin,
But I'm already dead.
I hear the comin of the rain.
I need my morphine for the pain.
I am still the no one who has simply gone insane.
And I don't know why.
Pick up the gun it's time to die.

I'm still crazy.
I feel shitty.
I'm still restless.
I feel numb.
Am I lazy?
Such a pity.
Guess I'm blessless.
Guess I'm dumb.

There are times when I'm walkin
With no where left to stay.
The whole world is talkin
But they have nothing to say.
The sun is bright & shiny
But it's still a rainy day.
Cause I hear the comin of the rain.
Still need the morphine for the pain.
I am still that no one; you have labeled me insane
And I don't know why.
Pick up the gun it's time to die.

Another hit. You should really put some music to some of your work and have someone record it, or record it yourself. As a songwriter, I could hear Bob Dylan or Tom Petty belting this out in front of a sold-out crowd. Great write!

This is so touching....If that person in the poem is a loser then he must accept himself for bitter or for worst as his portion-Emerson...And in the first place why he submit himself to fate...We control our own destiny no matter how loser we are,,,^_^ v

PS: Tragedy happens not because of the circumstance but due to how we react to such circumstances

i can hear this to music, something in the rhythm ... nice use of repetition and variation to draw one along ... and a powerful cry to the sky ... nice capture, JEagleFeather ...

I LOVE READING RHYMING POEMS. GREAT JOB

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
