    Complacency

    Getting used to your surroundings
    is something most people come
    to adhere,why would parents
    let this happen to something
    they hold so dear.

    The only difference between
    city,town,country and woods,
    are the buildings,cement,
    and terrain,which hide creepy
    people that would.

    What I'm saying...there are
    creepy,evil,perverted people
    everywhere,just more,given
    the size of space,in which
    to bare.

I've seen so many cases of
    so-called trusts and myths,
in which our sons and daugh-
    ters were a perpetrators
    premeditated twist.

    "I thought he was nice,"
"how can this happen to me,"
"she's gone that way for years,"
"I just turned my head for a second,"

These are the things that ignore
    the mind,before a tragedy takes
    place,having you remind.

    Being aware and always pre-
    pared for the unexpected,will
    keep your mind sharp,making
    evil easily detected.

Ive tried talking of such pre-
    paredness to people comfortable
    in their surrounding lair,only
to find out later, having to identify
    a loved one,would only be a
    joke,used for a dare.

This is the one moment in
    time,in which your made to
    accept,trying to figure out
    another person's deviant
    concept.

    It's too late...hurt and pain
    has been given to you,the
    notion set in,letting your
    guard down,enabling that
    closing moment to be
    brewed.

It's easy to look back and
    pinpoint what could have
    been,and why?,looking
    under that sheet,having
    me identify.

This is the one area of
    complacency,that will change
your way of life, having to deal
    with this,I'd rather be bludgeoned
    with a knife.

Life must and will go on,
    will others learn from this?
    having their smile,and
    watching them grow,will
    be painfully missed.
