Condemnation of alternative expression

Condemnation of alternative expression

Political abbreviation of innovation,

To budget cuts and ignorance of the status quo,

Have paved the way for perception’s folly,

An illusion of satisfaction,

Discoloured by an undercurrent of dissent.

The time of the revolution has come,

October is nigh!

The working class has risen up,

The scapegoat has been set free,

Watch the parade of the underdog,

Proud and hardy, head held high,

The ‘illiterate’ socially ignorant are come,

The uprising of democracy,

Has released the caged spirit

Of overwhelmed human heart.

Love thy neighbour, so the lord said,

As nature intended,

So we have returned,

Full circle, hand in hand,

To stand tall against oppression.

When at last we break free,

Of ordered madness and,

Remember life’s truth,

We shall attain a nirvana like

State of true ideological harmony.

narrator, If ever I agreed wholeheartedly with a message in a poem, this message is my mantra. If only the poor could overthrow the rich and powerful...they can when there' masses, however many are apathetic these days. Love this poem. ginga

Thank you so much! Aye, if only the laize faire would come to an end and we could all agree to work for a better world. Lets us hope that the future may bring with it a greater peace and equality, for I think there would be few to disagree it has been a long time in the coming. Thank you again for reading and commenting. Narrator.

Thank you for taking the time to read and leave me a comment. It is right that we act in the way we believe is correct, regardless of what others think or say.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
