Poem Commentary

This is about me escaping my racing thought pattern

Confines

The man fashioned himself a god Dismayed by the frailties of men His power, he thought, surpassed life and liberty  But unbeknownst to him  Was the collective, existing For a man has but one seed to sew But the collective was a forest of burning bush Enticed by the flames that danced so ... freely The man escaped the confines of the mind The man no longer saw himself in his reflection But upon the tiny crystal fragments upon which he encountered Himself reflected Sight blinded by rays A son born again A lover renewed And a brother of all men
