    Poem Commentary

    this was written for a forum challenge on another poetry site.

    Consummation
    the purest white adornment
    now puddled on the floor
    her tightened bud, in innocence
    blooms as he explores

    strong fingers gently painting
    swollen petals with morning dew
    while strokes of crimson fire
    the art of love imbue

    rendered in shades of passion
    vermilion, indigo, blue
    a hint of jade possession
    love of layered hue

    in reverential whimsy
    he presses liquid kiss
    swirling tongue to guide her
    down the path of carnal bliss

    her flesh become the canvas
    stretched before the master
    flooded with desire
    heart pounding ever faster

    she feels the heat of passion
    arise within her core
    the blushing bride surrenders
    with a whispered voice implores

    the artist knows this moment
    will define his life's endeavor
    with strokes of promise paints for her
    a picture of forever

    Oh, if only every man could only understand the wisdom embodied in the last stanza of this silken tribute to the sanctity & beauty possible in loving carnal union. Marriage, in fact the whole world would be a better place.

    A beautifully sensual piece of work crafted with tender, loving care, like the lover in the poem. The last two lines earn you a nod and a wink, the entire work is the very definition of "10"!
