Cry Me A River

Cry Me A River

A silent wish upon a dying star
That combusted into an infinite darkness
It no longer exists in the eye of the beholder
For I am no longer able to see
Just cry me a river my moonlit night
For your tears mask the despair I can no longer contain

Able me to feel once more how I once was
Bring me the dream I once had where I shall never wake
A swim in the near transparent clouds of your sacred milky way
A shot in the dark into your big dipper
Just cry me a river my fired pebbles
For you may be the only thing that can knock into me any sense

What has become of me?
There's not enough will left inme from the little I already had
I don't have the strength to fly again
To find the heaven I once resided
Just cry me a river my beloved Father
For I pray that it will bring me back to you

Help me find who I have seemed to have lost
Without her I can no longer live by name
I'm afraid I won't be able to identify her, us....me
Once again become whole with the half that controlled me
Just cry me a river my precious angel
For I cherished the wings I wish I had to fly back home

I sing out loud into the silence
I arrogantly dance upon my broken pieces
I let the steel in my chest weigh me down
I just have this smile that always finds a way to fall upside down
Just cry me a river empty oceans of the Earth
For I lay with you across the land of hopes and dreams forgotten

I bleed the innocence that the unwillin has been stripped of
I walk among the dead that the living reminisce about
I see the faces of the heroes before our time that made today possible
I hear the voices that cannot speak
So just cry me a river creator of sin
For I have a purpose that no longer includes you
