    Poem Commentary

this on was written a couple of years after my first marriage, and the girl in question really didn't know whic side she was batting for. i tried to help her make a decision, but in the end we lost one to the other side. oh well, at least she is happy now, lol.

    Crystaleyes

I haven't written 'bout love in quite a while
'cause there hasn't been much to make me smile.
I love my daughter, she loves me to,
but that's not the love my heart pursues.
Don't disbelieve for I'd give my last breath
if it meant I could save my baby from death.
The love that's been missing from my life
was killed, burned, and buried by one I called,'WIFE'.
    Now, for some odd reason, it's risen again;
but this time it's coupled with doubt and pain.
The one that I love cares for me, to,
but she has rivers of confusion due
to knowing what she wants, but what she can't have.
And I just sit by feeling wave after wave
of envy, of passion, of joy, of grief,
wondering if my battered heart will e'er find relief.
Of course I could be wrong or maybe just dreaming
of words, looks, and touches that send my soul screaming.
In time I will see if it's victory or demise,
'til then I'll just let my heart crystalize

Raz .. We win some and we lose some .. but if we stop pursuing, we are no longer in the game. Be strong and love on! One day when you least expect it .. you might be the one being pursued. Great write Bro! :) Ken

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
