    dance routine

everyone loves to dance, no matter what foot they start with,
and though this floor has many cracks, i know you'll try your hardest.
cause even though they say your slow, i know just what your missing..
when you wrap your arms around my neck, finish your thoughts then kiss me.
while lifting you in the air paired with timing and graceful dipping,
i feel your grip slipping, and as our song is near ending
I stare at what you wear and get myself lost in the pattern,
the rings that hang from your ears, your heels that click and clatter...

it's you that leaves me mystified
we stare at stars and get misty-eyed
thinking of how our paths have crossed
you were the right and only choice when i was left and lost.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
