    dance with me

    i hold out my hand
as the music starts to play
    hoping you will grab it
    and dance with me

    looks like i'm alone
as we dance in the spotlight
    moving like your stringed
    dancing a slow dance

    (chorus)
    i'm dancing alone
dancing with a puppet hanging on a string
cause thats how alone i feel
    dancing to no avail
with no one else but me

i'm going out of my mind
to think you'll dance with me
with a smile that stops you
    and takes your breath away

    this type of science
    a social science
is one i've never gotten used to
    one i can't control

    (chorus)
    i'm dancing alone
dancing with a puppet hanging on a string
cause thats how alone i feel
    dancing to no avail
with no one else but me

    dancing with a puppet
    dancing with a doll
dancing with no one really at all

    (chorus)
    i'm dancing alone
dancing with a puppet hanging on a string
cause thats how alone i feel
    dancing to no avail
with no one else but me

    it feels like forever
    waiting to see
if you will take my hand
    and dance with me

    (chorus)
    i'm dancing alone
dancing with a puppet hanging on a string
cause thats how alone i feel
    dancing to no avail
with no one else but me

    i hold out my hand
as the music starts to play
    hoping you will grab it
    and dance with me

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
