    Dare To Dream

    this world has fallen;
    the scales have come unbalanced.
    thus cry the winds of time;
    listen as they whisper,
    "Do not fear,
    I am here-
    I am near"
    it is of little comfort,
    guide without soul.
    History lies,
    shredded and disillusioned.
    And as of yet
    we do not see,
    nor walk the paths
    All to pass
    one day will at last
    claim a victory.
    Accept the here and now,
    it is all that is left-
    without the strength
    each soul will bring
    dare we dream?
    Phathom the future,
    whose debths are without measure;
    destiny calls
    and within it all,
    we can no futher fall.
    Lift up our hands,
    our cries will demand-
    humanity return to
    the powers that be,
    souls stand up tall,
    lift your sight high;
    never forget
    one may fall to the knees-
    but as long as you dream,
    as long as you dream;
    all that you wish for
    will come to be.

    GRATE!! This is writin very well. So many cultures have stories of how man must fall to be saved. Only in adversity do we ture to the powers that be. Wishing can not make it so, but dreams can guide us to action. Thanks again. I've read this 3 time now and will return I am sure.

    Very beautiful and thought-provoking. When humanity hits rock bottom, which we pretty much have, there is no other way to look but up. Others are beginning to wake up. Excellent poem!

    This poem is almost pushing one to their feet. You have a way of weaving gourgeous words. Or perhaps just weaving simple words gourgeously. Beautiful cry of never surrender. Reaching beyond the logic we can grasp and grasping the dream we cannot yet see.

    I like this one a lot, and some times I agree with the ending and sometimes not,

    Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
