Dark Angel

Dark Angel

You guide me away
from the light,
whispering how things
will be alright.

You lead me to the dark,
it's so comforting.
It takes me away from
the pain of reality.

The numbing grows as the
darkness falls around me.
It hazes my vision
as it smothers me.

I feel the softness of your wings
guiding me through the night.
It leads me farther away
from the blinding light.

Put me under your spell and
send me into a deep sleep.
Rid me of my sorrows
so I no longer weep.

Let me sleep forever, angel,
so I shall never again wake.
Cast me away to another realm
far away from this dreadful place.

A dark masterpiece, but why is one so young so involved with such dark topics? What is the reality behind the poem? Still a very nice, vivid poem.

Awesome poem. You really are good. Don't doubt yourself or let anyone tell you a poem is bad. If it comes from the heart, it's good.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
