    Dark Raven

From the darkness Raven came out of,
She returns to it once again,
    A heavy heart so broken,
    A shattered dream that faded,

    She looks around at everything,
    She doesn't understand,
Why so many just used her,
    And leave her without rights,
She begins to step into the shadows,
    Her form begins to change,
Her soft browns eyes turn blood shot red,
Her tan colored skin turns pale,
She gives a snicker and turns around,
Her eyes glow bright and flicker,
She takes a hand and reaches behind her,
    And lifts the hoody up,
    She laughs out loud,
    It's funny to her,
That she was too weak to notice,
This new person now has taken over,
    Raven is no longer there,
before us all there stands another,
The heart is now very harden,
The new one will not give us her name,
    She doesn't care anyways,
She just knows that Raven's soft heart,
    Was broken once again,
    The laughter from the woman,
    Is something we should fear,
But this woman will not hurt you,
She looks for the ones that hurt her friend,
So stand on back and let her by,
Don't make her change her mind,
    About not hurting you tonight,
She just might do it to have a night,
    She is the dark raven,
    The keeper of the shadows,
She watches over all right now,
    She doesn't need no reason,
All know why she has returned,
The sweet light raven was hurt,
so now this Raven has come to help her,
and now she is here for revenge.

With a bit of work on the wording this would be a most intriging poem. The dark imagery conveyed tantilizes the reader. We all have had a hunger for vengance when wronged.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
