Dark whispers

Dark whispers lurking, night

Shadows surround me

Cool breeze hits my face

Who’s there?

Sharp tendrils creep around me

Who are you?

What do you want?

Sharp pain, pools of scarlet dripped

It grabbed my soul

It had come to take me away.

The reaper

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
