Darkness Touch

Darkness Touch

A place that's secret where darkness falls,
Where hopes and dreams collide with iron walls,
Tommorow never comes in the place of gray,
Through the branches I reach out in only a tragic display.
Purpose of right eludes my grasp,
Try as I might to see what was past.
I yearn for the truth where it resides,
In a heart that's so closed up inside.
Too many times I have fallen,
But never before did I hear the correct calling.
God help me find a way to know my path,
Will it find me in this cold reality - this trap!
Sunshine fall upon me once again,
Where windows are open to me without sin.
The beats in me will have their way,
With no other purpose but to exist itself, as they may.

Yearning for the light, to lift us from the darkness is itself a way of life for a lot of people sometimes.. Times, places, people don't always align for us that our way is clear, so we just believe... We live on our faith that something will find it's way to us, or we find our way to it, that all this makes sense, and we will live again...

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.

Walt Whitman, American Poet (1819-1892)
