    • Wow! Been a Long time since I've been online. Hope everyone's well!

    Daughters

I started a long time ago,
    I had two little girls,
Precious gems I'll never let go.
Cute and funny with all their furls.

    One was a prankster,
    The other a clown,
    How to be a spanker,
    And not bring them down?

    I watched them grow,
    and taught them well.
    Not wanting them to go,
    Through my hell.

    Productive women,
    They've grown into now,
    An Artist Mien,
    And a Culinary Wow.

    No mate in site,
    For either as of yet,
    I fear I might,
Be the reason for that slight.

    Taught them too well,
    The pain that is inevitable,
    Want to ring a bell,
    And tell them it's incredible

    The good with bad,
    As long as your loved,
    The heart would be sad,
    If everything's dubbed.

Nice piece of work, sweetheart. It hit a nerve though - how do I as a single dad teach my beloved daughter the right way to love and be loved? Can it even be done now is my sad worry.

Everything comes with time. If there is a healthy loving relationship in her life, she'll figure it out-with a little help from dad, of course.

    I gave this poem a 9

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
