day in day out, i'm raising kids that aren't mine
day in day out, their mama out drinking wine
day in day out, my life becomes harder
no mother at home to help
daddy left long ago without regret

day in day out, these kids are crying

no food to eat, but mama don't care
and it aint like we on welfare

day in day out, i'm missing classes at school
day in day out, mama taking me for a fool
day in day out, this teen is no longer cool
living like an adult mother at 14 yrs old
this is too much stress ten times fold

day in i grow stronger

day out i pray it won't last longer
