DEAR LORD
DEAR LORD
Dear Lord I would like to say
Thank You for your love each day
I've not yet learned to see all blessings
Feeling like I'm always guessing
The devil is clever with disguise
He wants my soul to burn alive
Dear Lord I know that you know all
Please break the devil's unseen wall
I cannot fight what I can't see
I am my own worse enemy
Dear Lord, I'd like to say to you
Please help me not to play the fool
I know at times my faith does waivor
The Human psyche of learned behavior
Diablo wants to see me crash
Brimstone pit with blackened ash
A hardened heart made of stone
This I try to make unknown
A fragile heart completely shattered
A bloody mess from all the batter
The all or nothing I've always grasped
The in-between I find a task
The extremes I know make life pure hell
Too high too low I trip or fail
I cannot seem to find the words
All bottled up and left unheard
I wish I knew the words I cry
The Lord of truth not satan's lies
" You seek always not to feel
All these extremes are overkill"
"Knowledge is but wisdom will
It's not a moutain it's just a hill"
" Time to me, holds no concern
Contentment comes from heeded words"
" Child remember I don't deceive
Know it's impossible for me to leave"

The flesh will rest as the spirit speaks
