    Poem Commentary

This is the first poem I ever wrote.  I wrote it when I was nine years old, so do not judge me...  I was a silly little girl, and I love it!

    Death And Hope

    There is only one thing
    Worse than love
It is what death can bring
    And it aint from above
Maybe it's good, maybe it's bad
But I know that it will make you sad

    There is only one thing
    Better than wishes
It is what death can bring
    But don't tell the fishes
    Everyone knows
    That hope's glow
    Shines like a star
    From close and from far

Until I read this piece, I did not think death and hope could be put together. Fantastic piece of work.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
