    Death

    Death is not anyone's friend
    it is not kind
    it is selfish and controlling
    Death has no limits
shattering the beauty given to life
    but necessary
    as well as unfair
to take away what we have loved and known
we can have little peace of mind
but only hope for the best
anywhere but where we are now
    must be a better place
a place of freedom, true love, peace, calm
a solace to an aching heart
    Death comes silently
    silently it waits
    in the distance
    time is Death's partner
    together they are inevitable
    uncontrolled and unknown
