    • Learn yourself, love yourself, and respect yourself! Your past is but on step towards your future.

    Death's dance

    There you go again
      tapping on my door
        peeping in my windows
          cold, emotionless, and dark
I don't know what summons you
You creep up just when i'm feeling blue
thinking i'm going give in .
That stale stinch you drag around
ceases my lungs in a pinching pound
       feeling no peace, serenity
your lack of sympathy scares me
i'd swear you stopped my heartbeat
Your the only one no one can cheat..

I told you , don't come around here no more
stealing all the laughter and joy
        from each girl and boy
Stop following me, checking my due date
           your gloom only frustrates
sucking the love & peace from my walls
               pulling people till they fall

    Invisible to sight
     no running from your flight
       bland face, dark eyes
           sorrowful desparate cries
get out! get out ! get out!
                I feverishly shout

    Hated by so many
for collecting the lives of sinners
      haunting my future
wait , wait I'm still not mature
          time waits for no man
you wandered from your own clan
    Death your not welcome here
      your very presence brings fear
suddenly losing the ability to steer
color fading turning shades of sheer
why isn't my path clear ?
    I run... you chase
like it's a open close case
terrified to look you in the face
how did I loose the race?
I stall, catch my breath, pick up the pace.
still,  negotiating my sins to be erased..

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
