     dedication in the sun

    the  frail
    white haired
    old women
    fell faint
    from
    sun
    and
    tears
    as the
    mayor
    unveiled
    the
    sign
    dedicating
    the 
    street
    we
    grew up
    on 
    to 
    my
    brothers
    name
    and
    his rank
    Captain
    New York City
    Fire department
    because tower 
    two 
    fell
    on him
    after he
    saved 
    two
    other
    fire fighters


    the old
    woman
    was
    revived
    by 
    so
    many 
    dressed
    in blue
    on that 
    corner

    they 
    patched
    her
    bloody knee
    and
    helped 
    her
    back
    to her
    feet
    under
    the
    shinning
    new
    red 
    sign
    baring
    our
    brothers
    name
    and rank
